Our client, a leading global investment firm, is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join its Information Security team. This is an opportunity to help secure a complex enterprise environment supporting global business operations while working alongside a highly technical security organization. This is a highly hands-on engineering role focused on building, securing, and continuously improving enterprise security capabilities. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in infrastructure and networking and enjoys solving complex security challenges across cloud, identity, endpoint, and network security.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and enhance enterprise security solutions across network, cloud, endpoint, identity, and infrastructure environments
- Engineer and maintain enterprise security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, email security, endpoint protection, and identity security
- Secure enterprise cloud environments across AWS and/or Azure
- Investigate security incidents and continuously improve detection and response capabilities
- Partner with infrastructure and engineering teams to improve overall security posture and remediate vulnerabilities
- Develop security automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages
- Evaluate and implement emerging security technologies, including AI-related security capabilities where appropriate
- Contribute to enterprise security architecture, standards, and operational best practices
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on Security Engineering experience within complex enterprise environments
- Strong background in enterprise networking, infrastructure, and security engineering
- Experience with enterprise firewall technologies such as Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco, Fortinet, or similar platforms
- Experience securing cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure)
- Experience with endpoint security, vulnerability management, identity security, and enterprise security operations
- Strong understanding of Windows, Active Directory, Linux, networking, virtualization, and modern infrastructure technologies
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages for automation
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
- Financial services experience is a plus but not required
