We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Thermal Systems team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and developing thermal components such as heat exchangers, HVAC systems, plastic parts, and air ducting. You will play a key role in ensuring optimal thermal performance, efficiency, and durability of vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop thermal systems and components including HVAC modules, ducts, hoses, heat exchangers and related cooling components.
  • Perform thermal analysis and simulations to validate system performance under various operating conditions
  • Work on and design plastic and metal components, including material selection, design for manufacturability (DFM), and tooling considerations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CAE, manufacturing, suppliers) to optimize designs
  • Support, build and coordinate prototype builds, testing, and validation of thermal systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve thermal performance issues during development and production phases
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical documentation
  • Release the designed parts as part of the design and development activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive thermal systems or related domain
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, heat exchangers, and air duct design
  • Experience working with plastic components and injection molding processes
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX, or SolidWorks)
  • Understanding of thermal and fluid dynamics principles
  • Experience with CAE tools for thermal analysis is a plus
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with automotive development cycles and standards
  • Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation processes
  • Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional global teams
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
