The User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Test Coordinator will be responsible for leading and coordinating UAT (User Acceptance Testing) activities, ensuring that software and systems meet user needs and requirements before release. This critical role will work closely with stakeholders, developers, product owners and business analysts to design and execute test plans, document findings, track issues and provide status updates to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • UAT Planning & Execution: Develop UAT plans, test scenarios, and scripts based on product requirements
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work with stakeholders (developers, business analysts, end-users) to understand requirements and test scenarios
  • Defect Management: Track and manage defects, ensuring they are resolved and retested
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare UAT reports, test logs, and other documentation
  • Status Updates: Provide regular updates on UAT progress and status to stakeholders
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement in UAT activities
  • Training & Support: Train UAT participants on testing procedures and tools
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Coordination: Coordinate with other departments (e.g., QA, development) to ensure smooth UAT
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field – or equivalent; Hands-on UAT/software-testing experience in lieu of a degree
  • 5+ years of proven experience in software testing or UAT coordination roles
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow
  • Hands-on expertise with development and defect tracking systems like Jira
  • Financial services industry preferred, but not required
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
  • Experience with agile and waterfall UAT sequences
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Success in coordinating work across various stakeholder types.
