We are hiring a hands-on Technical Manager to lead Embedded Hardware and Firmware development for industrial electronics products including servo drives, VFDs, and motion control systems. This role is focused on technical leadership, architecture ownership, problem-solving, mentoring, and high-quality engineering delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership & Architecture :

– Own end-to-end embedded hardware and firmware architecture

– Define technology roadmap for MCU/SoC, RTOS, power management, and toolchains

– Drive technical decisions balancing performance, cost, reliability, and cybersecurity

– Act as escalation point for complex hardware-firmware issues

Hands-on Engineering :

– Review hardware schematics and PCB layouts

– Participate in firmware design and code reviews

– Support prototype bring-up and debugging using oscilloscopes, JTAG/SWD

– Lead root cause analysis for field failures, EMC, and reliability issues

Embedded Hardware :

– Guide MCU/SoC-based designs, analog/digital circuits, and power supplies

– Ensure EMC/EMI compliant designs and component reliability

– Oversee hardware verification and environmental testing

Embedded Firmware :

– Lead development of Embedded C firmware, RTOS/bare-metal systems

– Drive development of bootloaders, secure boot, firmware update mechanisms

– Lead communication stack implementation including EtherCAT, CAN, PROFINET, and IO-Link

– Ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards such as IEC 62443

Cross-functional Collaboration :

– Work closely with Controls, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality, Safety, and Cybersecurity teams

– Support product certifications, audits, and customer technical discussions

Team Management :

– Mentor embedded hardware and firmware engineers

– Build strong engineering review and quality processes

– Ensure documentation and change management practices

Required Skills :

– Strong experience in embedded hardware and firmware development

– Hands-on expertise in industrial electronics, servo drives, inverters, or motion control products

– MCU/SoC hardware design and analog/digital electronics

– PCB layout review, EMC/EMI fundamentals, power management

– Embedded C, RTOS, bare-metal development

– Debugging with JTAG/SWD and oscilloscopes

– Industrial protocols : EtherCAT, CAN, PROFINET, IO-Link

Good to Have :

– Motor control and drive systems

– Secure boot, cryptography, IEC 62443 cybersecurity

– Functional safety (SIL2/SIL3)

– Automated testing and CI concepts

Preferred Background :

– Prior experience as Technical Lead, Architect, or Hands-on Engineering Manager

– Strong ownership mindset with problem-solving capabilities
