Our Client is seeking a Staff Accountant .
Duties:
- Staff Accountant will perform monthly balance sheet and bank account reconciliations
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Analyze general ledger activity and investigate discrepancies
- Reconcile subledgers to the general ledger and resolve variances
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
- Prepare account analyses and supporting schedules
- Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed asset accounting
- Support internal and external audit requests by providing documentation and account support
- As a Staff Accountant, you will ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls
- Assist with financial reporting and ad hoc accounting projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and efficiencies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required or Minimum 4+ years of progressive Staff Accountant experience
- Experience performing high-volume account reconciliations
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems
- Experience supporting month-end close and financial statement preparation
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Public accounting experience a plus
