Our Client Currently looking for Software Engineer, Senior (OSEng)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and support full-stack web applications and services
- Build and extend automation and workflows to optimize the open-source review process
- Collaborate with end-users to gather requirements and resolve issues
Required Skills
- 3-5 years of relevant software development experience
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Understanding of web service, application, and microservice architectures
- Strong Python web development experience
- Expertise with Django and React
- Experience building asynchronous task pipelines with Celery and RabbitMQ
- Solid SQL skills; experience with PostgreSQL preferred
- Proficiency with Git
- Comfortable working in a Linux environment, including shell scripting and troubleshooting
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proactive and self-directed, with a strong sense of ownership over the quality and outcomes of your work
- Detail-oriented with the ability to document issues and resolutions clearly
Preferred Skills
- Experience with the open-source ecosystem, license compliance tooling (FOSSID, ScanCode-toolkit), and SBOM standards (SPDX, CycloneDX)
- Experience with additional frontend frameworks (Redux, RTK)
- Experience with Docker and writing Dockerfiles
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration
- Understanding of open-source licensing models and compliance workflows
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Prefect
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and workflows
- Experience developing applications using LLMs or agentic frameworks
