Our Client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support senior leadership, including the CFO and Controller. This role plays a key part in financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives. this client offers salary and benefits package. This is a hybrid position following an initial training period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare internal financial statements and external regulatory reports
- Perform and review general ledger reconciliations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries
- Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Evaluate workflows and implement process improvements/automation
- Develop documentation, procedures, and troubleshooting guidance
- Partner with auditors and assist with audit processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or CFA preferred
- 4+ years of finance or accounting experience
- Experience in banking or financial institutions (or related audit experience) required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with accounting systems (Oracle, Blackline, Sageworks, AvidPay preferred)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Understanding of internal controls is a plus
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (including BSA compliance)
