Our Client is seeking a Senior Accountant Contractor – Consolidations .
Duties Include:
- Support general ledger activities, including account setup, maintenance, and updates
- Perform account reconciliations, data validations, and control testing
- Process high-volume transactions and maintain accuracy across financial data
- Assist with ticketing, approvals, and documentation for financial changes
- Prepare and post manual journal entries and adjustments as needed
- Review and analyze financial data, including variances and entity-level reporting
- Support subledger reconciliations and downstream data accuracy
- Maintain documentation such as account listings, glossaries, and reporting tools
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and investigate issues
- Assist with audit, consolidation, and financial reporting activities
- Provide coverage for day-to-day accounting operations while supporting ongoing projects
- Help coordinate global contacts and support activities during peak cycles (e.g., period-end close)
Requirements
- 4+ years of accounting experience or equivalent audit experience
- Working knowledge of accounting concepts, including general ledger and close processes
- Experience with ERP or financial systems
- Strong Excel and data management skills
- Experience with reconciliations, data validation, or testing activities
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
- Ability to follow structured processes and work independently
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Proactive approach with strong follow-up and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify issues, and investigate discrepancies
- Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to quickly ramp up, work independently, and connect data across processes
