Our Client is hiring a Project Accountant who will be responsible for full cycle billing and financial analysis of capital improvement and development projects. This is an in-office role. You will report to the Senior Project Accountant. As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for all accounting information being recorded and reported and serve as point of contact between project team and corporate accounting dept.
Responsibilities:
- Collect subcontractor trade AIA G702/703(AIA) and vendor invoices
- Verify accuracy of AIA from all trade subcontractors including project roll forward, mathematical accuracy, and completeness of support (lien waivers, insurance, etc.)
- Review requisitions for errors or missing information
- Distribute AIA’s to Project Managers
- Attend meetings with Project Managers and subcontractors to review project status and reporting
- Record subcontractor AIAs and general conditions in the accounting system
- Compile Accounts Receivable Billing of monthly activity to properties and tenants the company has a great working environment, outstanding compensation and benefits and opportunities to advance
Requirements
- 2+ years of related construction accounting experience
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Management software and TimberScan (Accounts Payable approval software) preferred, but not required
- Proficient in daily use of Excel, Procore and Sage 300 are preferred
