We are seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to support the accurate and timely processing of multi-state payroll operations. This role is responsible for payroll administration, payroll tax compliance, reporting, audits, reconciliations, and employee support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process biweekly multi-state payroll for a large employee population, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Audit payroll data including hours worked, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and tax withholdings
- Perform payroll reconciliations and validate payroll reports prior to and following processing
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, tax issues, and employee inquiries
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and wage and hour laws
- Administer garnishments, levies, liens, and other mandatory payroll deductions
- Process off-cycle payrolls, adjustments, bonus payments, and termination payments as needed
- Support payroll operations for international locations as required
- Partner with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee and payroll data
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and tax reconciliations
- Maintain payroll documentation, procedures, and internal controls
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, efficiency, and compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- Extensive experience with Workday Payroll
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience supporting payroll operations in a high-volume environment
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting payroll in Canada, Mexico, or Costa Rica
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification)
- Experience working in a global organization
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis
