The Manufacturing Specialists’ primary responsibility is to maintain accurate data / records and communicate information in compliance with company policies and procedures, and the collective bargaining agreement for manufacturing operations. The Manufacturing Specialist will establish and maintain effective working relationships with Department Managers, Supervisors, and hourly employees to enable positive employee engagement for effectiveness of the function.
Accountabilities:
- Attendance policy administration, including attendance credit program management, incident investigations for attendance points, create and distribute attendance corrective actions to appropriate supervisors for issuing to employees, track and document corrective actions in attendance tracker, personal time away administration, etc.
- Short Term Disability payroll – prepare and submit payroll adjustments to payroll for payment bi-weekly, and updates as appropriate. Assist information as needed. Documentation from third party administrator record keeper.
- Temporary labor agency relations and invoice reconciliation.
- Reception and Payroll back-up.
- Job bid Administration.
- Reconcile Seniority List.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Preferred: Associate Degree in General Business, Administration or similar field of study.
- Detail Oriented, ensuring accuracy of data / records is critical to success in this role.
- Self-starter with initiative and drive to outline and complete tasks efficiently and effectively with limited supervision.
- Capable of accommodating peers and leaders with required information in a timely manner.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to apply critical thinking.
- Must have knowledge or ability to develop understanding of Collective Bargaining Agreement to ensure compliance in assigned applicable tasks.
- Interpersonal skills that will create an atmosphere of understanding for others that will promote effective results.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access. Above average skills in Excel and Word preferred.
- Knowledge of plant operations is a plus.
- Must have demonstrated the ability to work both independently and under immediate supervision, function effectively under time constraints and multitask based on the nature of the work.
- Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
