In this role, the LIMS Software Engineer will work with a cloud-based enterprise Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), assisting with configuration, reporting, and development tasks. They will collaborate with technical and scientific teams, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of critical enterprise applications. What You’ll Do:
- Act as the first point of contact for system issues, troubleshooting and escalating as needed
- Assist with configuration and testing within StarLIMS v12 environments
- Support development of reports and dashboards using tools like Crystal – Reports and Advanced Analytics
- Collaborate with analysts and senior engineers to translate user requests into technical solutions
- Maintain accurate documentation and manage tasks in Jira and Confluence
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related STEM field (or equivalent experience)
- At least 2 years of experience supporting enterprise applications or databases
- Familiarity with relational databases and ability to write SQL queries
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with StarLIMS or other LIMS platforms
- Knowledge of scripting languages, HTML, or JavaScript
- Experience creating dashboards or reports in tools like Crystal Reports
- Exposure to laboratory workflows or regulated environments
