Our Client is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join their team on a contract role to support incoming project work. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying software applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project stakeholders (product owners, UX researchers, data team, QA team, project managers, cross team leads and designers) to understand functional and non-functional requirements
- Promote a collaborative team environment and work closely with colleagues to achieve business objectives
- Responsible for planning work estimation and forecasting
- Adhere to architecture, design, implementation, security standards and best practices
- Investigate and propose solutions to development and design problems
- Conduct analysis to determine integration needs, and design and plan integrations
- Prepare technical documentation, including software design evaluation plans and test results
- Write high-quality code that satisfies customer needs and strives for simplicity, clarity, and testability
- Implement unit and integration tests and conduct functional and performance testing where appropriate
- Participate in code reviews or use collaborative programming techniques to promote high quality business outcomes
- Develop reusable software building blocks to enable faster delivery
- Improve performance of existing software by diagnosing and resolving critical issues
- Establish development practices and processes
- Manage and mentor software engineers
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science and worked at a company for 5+ years with web technology stack and web standards or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or equivalent degree and worked at a company for 7+ years with web technology stack and web standards
- C# (7+ years) with deep understanding of advanced principles of client-side and server-side development
- Strong hands-on experience with .NET/.NET 8 and ASP.NET MVC
- JavaScript and experience with a component UI library (Kendo UI strongly preferred)
- Proven track record for architecting, scaling and implementing complex technical solutions
- Proven track record of leadership in Agile environments, with excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a passion for mentoring and empowering team members
- Proven background in configuring and securing file transfer protocols and converting to an automated process using API to trigger, monitor and automate file movements
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and integration patterns
- Knowledge in building and tooling processes such as CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and package managers, coupled with extensive experience in debugging and troubleshooting complex issues
- SQL Server proficiency, including stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing

- TypeScript and React/Next.js
- Python for scripting and data processing
- Experience in Treasury, Corporate Finance, or banking domain
- Exposure to additional cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
