Our Client is seeking an Information Security Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate technology and security operations to identify system needs, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Gather and translate business requirements into clear technical requirements for engineering and development teams
- Serve as a liaison between business users, cybersecurity teams, and technical stakeholders
- Identify, document, track, and support resolution of system and security-related issues
- Support cybersecurity initiatives focused on insider risk, data protection, incident response, and security monitoring
- Assist with the development and improvement of security controls, investigative processes, and monitoring capabilities
- Analyze security events and operational data to identify potential risks or areas requiring investigation
- Coordinate cross-functional security initiatives and maintain visibility into project status, issues, and deliverables
- Support regulatory, governance, and compliance requirements related to security operations
- Develop documentation, reporting, and recommendations that support informed security and technology decisions
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, security analysis, incident response, insider risk, or a related discipline
- Experience supporting insider threat, data loss prevention, security monitoring, or investigative programs
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical specifications
- Experience coordinating technical or cybersecurity projects across multiple stakeholder groups
- Knowledge of security monitoring, endpoint protection, identity management, and privileged access concepts
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity controls, risk management, governance, and regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical, investigative, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong documentation and issue-tracking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with business and technical teams
- Ability to manage competing priorities and drive issues through resolution
