Our client is seeking a Fraud Analyst
Responsibilities
- Monitor customer transactions, remittances, money transfers, and other financial activities for potential fraud.
- Review transactions and identify unusual patterns, suspicious behavior, and potential fraudulent activities.
- Investigate fraud alerts and conduct detailed transaction reviews.
- Analyze customer transaction history and related information to identify fraud indicators.
- Review high-risk transactions and escalate cases as per company procedures.
- Identify common fraud patterns, trends, and emerging fraud risks.
- Conduct investigations into suspected internal and external fraud cases.
- Coordinate with Compliance, AML, Operations, IT, and other departments during investigations.
- Document investigation findings, supporting evidence, and recommended actions.
- Prepare fraud investigation reports and management reports.
- Escalate confirmed or suspected fraud cases to the appropriate management/compliance team.
- Assist in preventing unauthorized transactions, account misuse, identity-related fraud, and other financial fraud risks.
- Monitor chargebacks, disputed transactions, customer complaints, and fraud-related cases.
- Support the development and improvement of fraud monitoring rules, alerts, and controls.
- Review system alerts and ensure cases are investigated and closed within agreed timelines.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information throughout investigations.
- Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory requirements when required.
- Keep updated on emerging fraud techniques, financial crime risks, and industry practices.
- Recommend improvements to fraud prevention processes and controls.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Fraud Analysis, AML, Compliance, Risk, Banking, Money Exchange, Remittance, or Financial Services.
- UAE experience in an exchange house, bank, fintech, or financial services company is preferred.
- Good understanding of financial transactions, remittance processes, and fraud risks.
- Knowledge of AML/CFT and relevant UAE regulatory requirements is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Experience with transaction monitoring or fraud detection systems is preferred.
- Ability to identify transaction patterns and suspicious activities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple investigations
