Our Client is seeking an Epic Applications Analyst III .
Overview:
- Provides advanced support, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of Epic EHR systems across the organization
- Leads projects, partners with clinical and technical teams, and ensures systems meet business needs, regulatory requirements, and end-user expectations
- Drives performance improvements through system enhancements, reporting, advanced configuration, troubleshooting, training, and change management while serving as a subject matter expert and mentor to junior analysts
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Epic EHR implementations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives
- Perform advanced system configuration, troubleshooting, and application support
- Develop reports, dashboards, and data extracts to support operational and clinical needs
- Deliver end-user training and maintain system documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on enhancements, testing, and change management
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, TJC, and organizational policies
- Serve as an escalation point and mentor for junior analysts
- Provide strategic recommendations to support system performance, sustainability, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Four (4) years of experience with an EHR, including system configuration and support
- Work Experience In Lieu of Education: Six (6) years of experience with an EHR, including system configuration and support
- Familiarity with Healthcare IT regulations
- Advanced knowledge of Epic modules
- Advanced skills in project management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage small projects, lead, and mentor others
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare or Business Administration, or relevant field
- Six (6) years of experience with Epic EHR, including system configuration and support.
- Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP); Certified Scrum Master (CSM); Certified Health Technology Specialist (CHTS)
Physical Requirements:
- Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping
- Long periods of computer time or at workstation
- Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance
- May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise
- Communicating with others to exchange information
- Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks
- Workspace may vary from open to confined
- May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; May require use of personal vehicle
