A highly respected investment organization is seeking a strategic leader to join a key team responsible for driving operational excellence, managing critical investment workflows, and leading business-enhancing initiatives across the investment platform. This is not a traditional investment operations position. The role combines people leadership, project execution, stakeholder partnership, and process improvement within a complex and fast-moving investment environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team supporting mission-critical investment and operational processes
- Drive operational improvements, automation initiatives, and strategic projects across the investment platform
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to enhance data quality, controls, and workflow efficiency
- Provide oversight of complex investment-related activities including portfolio data governance, reconciliations, cash management, and risk-focused operational processes
- Lead cross-functional initiatives involving new products, technologies, and process enhancements
- Continuously assess operational risks and identify opportunities to improve scalability and effectiveness
Requirements
- 5-12 years of experience in public accounting, advisory, consulting, investment operations, asset management, or financial services
- Big 4 or Top 10 accounting firm foundation strongly preferred
- Experience supporting investment management, private equity, hedge funds, insurance, or other complex financial services environments is a plus
- Proven leadership, project management, and stakeholder management capabilities
- Strong analytical mindset with an interest in process improvement, automation, and operational strategy
