Our Client to identify a Director of Accounting to oversee key accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and budgeting functions.This role is ideal for an experienced accounting leader with a background in real estate or complex accounting environments, strong financial reporting expertise, and experience working with government-funded or regulated programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee monthly and quarterly financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance
• Ensure adherence to applicable regulatory and program requirements, including affordable housing guidelines
• Lead the accounting team and oversee AP, AR, general ledger, cash flow, and related accounting operations
• Manage annual financial and compliance audits, tax reporting, and required documentation
• Oversee cost allocations, construction draws, capitalization, and project-related accounting activities
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and overall efficiency
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support planning and risk management
• Mentor and develop accounting staff while collaborating cross-functionally to improve financial accuracy and processes
