Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented Cash Applications Specialist to join its Finance team. This role will be responsible for accurately applying client payments, reconciling accounts, researching discrepancies, and supporting the overall accounts receivable function in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Post and apply client payments received via ACH, wire transfers, checks, and lockbox services
• Reconcile daily cash receipts to bank activity and accounting records
• Investigate and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, overpayments, and payment discrepancies
• Collaborate with Billing, Collections, Treasury, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate account balances
• Maintain detailed records of payment activity and adjustments
• Assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations
• Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed
• Monitor aging receivables and help resolve outstanding account issues
• Process refunds, credit balances, and account adjustments when appropriate
