The Accounting Manager will serve as a dedicated and motivated leader – leading a team of 2-3 in general accounting and be responsible for the day-to-day month end close process. This person should also have a passion for business/process/systems improvement. We would like to shorten the current month-end accounting close process (currently a 10-business day close).
Requirements
- CPA is required
- Strong technical exposure with a background in public accounting
- Good leadership skills and experience
- Previous manufacturing accounting experience (costing and supporting plant operations and accounting, etc.) is preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Possessing strong communication skills
- Desire a strong, driven, organized accounting professional who demonstrates great initiative, motivation, and accountability to work product
- We are looking for someone who is “special” from an intangibles perspective and can contribute to a positive/winning culture
- Must possess a sense of urgency, great attention to detail, and have the ability to function within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Requires working extended hours as needed to support the monthly/yearly reporting deliverables; Typical hours are 40-45 hours per week and 50-55 hours during month-end close
