A Threat and Vulnerability Security Manager will support and strengthen enterprise cybersecurity capabilities through proactive monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, security automation, and AI-enabled security initiatives. This individual will partner with technical and business stakeholders to enhance security operations, reduce organizational risk, and support emerging technologies through secure and scalable practices.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage security technologies and third-party security services to identify, investigate, and respond to security events and incidents
- Lead and continuously enhance vulnerability management programs, including security scanning, penetration testing, remediation tracking, and vendor coordination
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and oversee threat intelligence efforts to identify and mitigate emerging cyber risks
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to improve security controls and drive remediation efforts
- Develop and maintain security automation solutions, scripts, and orchestration workflows to streamline detection, analysis, response, and reporting activities
- Leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to improve threat detection, anomaly identification, operational efficiency, and security analytics
- Manage cybersecurity ticketing and case management processes, ensuring timely resolution and escalation of security issues
- Participate in and support security incident response investigations, including forensic analysis, documentation, and evidence preservation
- Support security assessments, audits, compliance activities, and risk management initiatives
- Maintain and periodically test incident response procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- Approximately 5+ years of cybersecurity experience, along with prior Information Technology experience
- Industry-recognized cybersecurity certification(s) such as Security+, SSCP, CCNP Security, CISSP, or similar credentials
- Equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and relevant experience may be considered
Technical Skills:
- Experience with enterprise security platforms, including SIEM, EDR, network detection and response technologies, vulnerability management solutions, and SOAR platforms
- Experience supporting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing engagements, including remediation planning
- Ability to create and maintain automation tools using scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts and how they can be applied within cybersecurity operations
- Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices such as NIST, CIS Controls, and MITRE ATT&CK
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on risk-based decision-making
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability and willingness to travel as business needs required
