We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Java Lead / Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise applications and cloud-native platforms. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in modern Java technologies, microservices architecture, cloud platforms, and AI-enabled solution development.
The role demands strong technical leadership, solution architecture capabilities, stakeholder management, and mentoring experience while actively contributing to engineering excellence and innovation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
– Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring ecosystem technologies.
– Design and implement scalable microservices and reactive systems.
– Develop secure APIs and authentication/authorization frameworks using Spring Security.
– Build high-performance RESTful APIs and define API contracts and governance standards.
– Drive cloud-native application development and deployment on AWS.
– Create and review High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.
– Collaborate with product owners, architects, DevOps, and business stakeholders for successful solution delivery.
– Lead technical solutioning, estimation, and implementation planning.
– Ensure scalability, observability, resilience, and performance optimization across applications.
– Mentor development teams on coding standards, architecture patterns, and engineering best practices.
– Drive adoption of AI/GenAI technologies and agentic AI solutions where applicable.
Required Technical Skills :
Core Java & Backend Technologies :
– Strong experience in Java 21
– Expertise in Spring Boot
– Strong hands-on experience with :
i. Microservices architecture
ii. RESTful services
iii. Reactive programming using Spring WebFlux
iv. Event-driven and asynchronous systems
Security & Authorization :
– Strong experience with :
i. Spring Security
ii. Authentication & Authorization mechanisms
iii. OAuth2 / JWT-based security implementations
– Experience in :
i. Role-based access management (RBAC)
ii. Integration with Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID
iii. SSO implementation and identity federation
iv. Enterprise identity and access management solutions
Persistence & Databases :
– Strong experience in :
i. Spring Data JPA
ii. Database design and optimization
iii. Data modelling concepts
– Hands-on experience with :
i. MongoDB
ii. Azure PostgreSQL
– Exposure to :
i. Query optimization
ii. Performance tuning
iii. Schema and entity design
API & Integration :
– Strong understanding of :
i. REST/API contract design
ii. API versioning
iii. OpenAPI/Swagger standards
– Hands-on experience with API Gateway platforms such as :
i. Kong API Gateway
ii. AWS API Gateway
– Experience in :
i. API security, Rate limiting
ii. API routing and throttling
iii. API monitoring and governance
