Our Client is seeking a Senior G/L Accountant to support accounting operations within a large corporate environment. This position will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger, supporting month-end close activities, preparing reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, experience working in a complex corporate setting, and hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Support month-end close activities, including accruals and account analysis
- Record and reconcile intercompany transactions
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve variances
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Assist with monthly financial reporting and supporting schedules
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Support audit requests and provide required documentation
- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and business needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
- Experience in General Ledger Accounting
- Experience working in a large corporate accounting environment
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) experience required
- Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, sorting, filtering, and data analysis
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in a large, corporate environment (no small or family-owned businesses)
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
- Strong month-end close experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze financial data
