Job Overview
The Salesforce Backlog Manager plays a critical, delivery-focused role on the Salesforce team by supporting the ongoing enhancement of Salesforce products and processes. This collaborative position works closely with Platform Leads, developers, business analysts, and business partners to define, maintain, and prioritize the Salesforce product backlog based on business value, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment. The position contributes to the creation and maintenance of comprehensive Salesforce platform roadmaps that align with organizational goals and technology strategy. Key Responsibilities:
- Own and Manage the Salesforce Product Backlog: Lead the definition, maintenance, and prioritization of the Salesforce product backlog, ensuring alignment with business value, technical feasibility, and strategic objectives
- Develop and Execute Platform Roadmaps: Create, communicate, and maintain comprehensive Salesforce platform roadmaps that support organizational goals and technology strategy, driving long-term vision and successful platform evolution
- Strategic Requirement Gathering: Oversee the collection and synthesis of business requirements from stakeholders, transforming them into clear, actionable technical user stories and acceptance criteria that guide development efforts
- Lead Agile Planning and Execution: Direct sprint planning sessions, set and communicate sprint goals, and ensure the development team understands business priorities and expectations for each iteration
- Primary Liaison: Serve as the chief point of contact between business stakeholders and technical development teams, facilitating transparent communication, resolving conflicts, and ensuring alignment
