Our Client is seeking a Progress OpenEdge 4GL HR & Payroll Programmer .
Key Responsibilities:
- Support, maintain, and enhance HR and Payroll applications built on Progress OpenEdge/Progress 4GL
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to HRIS and payroll processing
- Develop and modify programs using Progress 4GL tools
- Support applications running on Unicorn HRO’s Geneva or iCON Tools Platform
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and implement solutions
- Ensure system updates are reliable, secure, and compliant with business needs
Requirements
- Hands on experience with Progress OpenEdge/Progress 4GL (v11.4 or OpenEdge 2014)
- Prior experience as an HR/Payroll programmer
- Experience supporting HRIS and payroll systems
- Experience working with Unicorn HRO’s Geneva or iCON Tools Platform
- Familiarity with Icon/Unicorn payroll and HR platforms (highly preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently in a contract/temporary engagement
Nice to Have:
- Experience supporting payroll processing, tax calculations, or benefits integrations
- Experience supporting legacy or enterprise HR systems
- Prior work in regulated or compliance driven environments
