We are seeking a Payment Processing Specialist to support high-volume payment operations. This role is responsible for operating mail processing equipment, opening and sorting customer payments, processing exceptions, performing data entry, applying payments, researching discrepancies, and ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing. Candidates should be comfortable working with automated equipment, vendor software, and fast-paced production environments.

Duties:

• Operates equipment that sorts envelopes with customer payments based on business rules and delivers to the next processing step
• Performs basic troubleshooting of equipment as needed
• Operates high speed mail processing equipment to open envelopes, extract content, and image documents to process payments
• Operates rapid extraction machinery efficiently to process exceptions that cannot be handled through high-speed equipment
• Uses vendor software to complete simple keying functions to apply customer payments or route change of address requests
• Uses company systems and vendor software to perform simple research to apply non-complex payments and correspondence requests
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
