Job Overview
Our client is seeking a Mid-Level Business Analyst with a strong background in electrical engineering to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced proficiency in Excel, exceptional data analysis skills, and a knack for time management and organizational tools. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and operations, to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets related to energy production, distribution, and consumption
- Utilize advanced Excel techniques (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction
- Design and implement data models and analytical frameworks to support strategic decision-making
- Use time management and organizational tools like MS Project, Jira, or Trello to manage project timelines, track progress, and ensure deadlines are met
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all analyses and reports
- Provide technical support and training to team members on data analysis tools and techniques
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually enhance analytical capabilities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related fieldl; A Master’s degree is a plus
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a business analyst role, preferably within the energy sector
- Strong electrical engineering background with a deep understanding of energy systems and processes
- Proficient in advanced Excel functions including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and data visualization
