Our Client is looking to add a Senior Analyst for their Manufacturing Operations to join their finance team. Summary: This role partners closely with Operations and Cost Accounting to drive financial performance across manufacturing. You wil lead budgeting, forecasting, and analysis tied to cost, margins, inventory, and productivity while supporting strategic and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze monthly and quarterly manufacturing results, cost trends, and EBITDA drivers
- Build and maintain financial models to evaluate costs, ROI, and operational initiatives
- Review product and departmental P&Ls; Identify risks, inefficiencies, and corrective actions
- Lead manufacturing budgeting and forecasting (volume, labor, material, overhead)
- Prepare executive and Board-level reporting packages
- Perform variance analysis vs. budget
- Support capital investments, pricing decisions, and headcount planning
- Partner with Cost Accounting on standard costs, variances, inventory valuation, and absorption
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, and financial metrics for leadership
- Collaborate cross-functionally
- Improve FP&A processes, reporting tools, and system automation (ERP/BI/planning tools)
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of FP&A/financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Manufacturing and cost accounting background required
- Advanced Excel, financial modeling, ERP and BI tools
- Strong business partnership and communication skills
- Note you must live in West MI as this role is fully onsite with one day working from home.
