The Systems Engineer will:
- Install, configure, and sustain Linux operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Assist in the design and provisioning of the enterprise network environment.
- Prepare and deliver both program and user level documentation for system operations.
- Provide technical systems support for project activities.
- Monitor for performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Interact with members of the technical team leads.
- Understand the current system, subsystems, and component specifications and be able to use experience to recommend changes to facilitate efficient and effective development.
- Communicate and share expertise within and across the client’s organizational boundaries.
- Work both independently and in small groups
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in network engineering, information systems, computer engineering, or related technical field. Relevant professional experience can substitute in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the following technical areas:
- System Administration or systems engineering in a Linux-heavy environment.
- Experience supporting DevOps Infrastructure
- Experience in the build, operations, and sustainment of LAN/WAN networks
- Experience Implementing DOD Cyber Security requirements.
- Experience with physical compute and networking hardware
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and evaluating alternatives to solve complex problems.
