Job Overview
Our client is seeking a Finance Associate who will be responsible for supporting the finance team by processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and service providers. This role is essential in helping the organization meet its mission by maintaining strong financial integrity and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, check requests, and employee expense reports
- Ensure proper coding and approval of all invoices in accordance with organizational policies
- Maintain accounts payable files and documentation for compliance and audit purposes
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and resolve discrepancies, and respond to vendor inquiries
- Assist with month-end closing, including accruals and reconciliations related to accounts payable
- Support the finance team during annual audits by providing documentation and schedules as requested
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to internal controls
- Perform other related accounting and administrative duties as assigned
- Invoice processing and expense report review
Requirements
- Knowledge of accounts payable procedures and financial recordkeeping
- Proficiency in payment processing (checks, ACH, wire transfers)
- Vendor communication and issue resolution
- Month-end close support (accruals, reconciliations)
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow internal controls
- Basic accounting and administrative support skills
