Our Client is seeking a Director, Government Program Compliance & Accounting to lead and strengthen government contract accounting, compliance, and program finance operations. This individual will serve as a key business partner across the organization, ensuring compliance with government contract requirements while driving accountability, process improvements, and operational excellence. Summary: The ideal candidate will combine deep government program accounting expertise with strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional partnership skills. This role will work closely with finance, operations, project managers, and business leaders to resolve complex issues, improve financial processes, and support the continued growth of government-funded programs. This is a high-visibility position offering the opportunity to make a significant impact within a growing organization supporting long-term government contracts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Strong government contract accounting and compliance experience
- Experience supporting government-funded programs and contract requirements
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong knowledge of program cost accounting, project accounting, and compliance controls
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive issues through to resolution and improve organizational accountability
- Strong process improvement and problem-solving capabilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with finance, operations, HR, and business leaders
