Job Overview
In this role, you will serve as a primary resolver for hardware-related issues, demonstrating expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex infrastructure challenges. You will maintain documentation for supported technologies and mentor junior staff by sharing technical knowledge. You will also perform basic to intermediate system administration tasks remotely, contribute to small projects independently, and assist in planning and executing larger local initiatives. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively. Key Responsibilities:
- Move and install large enterprise equipment
- Install fiber and copper cabling, patch cabling between equipment
- Maintain safety and security standards during cabling and rack installations
- Follow established hardware installation and break-fix procedures
- Safely operate material handling tools and equipment
- Act as an escalation point for junior technicians
- Automate tasks using scripting when needed
- Understand all aspects of supported equipment and systems
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
- 2+ years of experience in computer networking
- Experience with remote system administration and virtual team collaboration
- Familiarity with scripting for task automation
- Strong customer service skills and ability to perform under pressure
