Our Client Currently looking for Sr Systems Integration Engineer- Mechanical
Responsibilities:
- Drive proactive Mechanical architecture decisions across the program
- Lead engineering team focused on cohesive Mechanical system and subsystem design
- Advise SV Lead and Chief Engineer on system-level impacts and risks related to Mechanical subsystems
- Manage physical interfaces:
- Maintain the Mechanical Interface Control Documents (MICDs) between payloads, subsystems, and the bus.
- Resolve interference issues:
- Identify and resolve physical, envelope, and mating conflicts between components before hardware reaches the floor
- Mass properties tracking:
- Monitor and report system-level mass, center of gravity (CG), and moments of inertia (MOI)
- Leads Mechanical test definition and planning
- Leads mechanical functional support to AI&T for Mechanical nonconformances.
- Responsible for ensuring Mechanical nonconformances are closed.
- Design mechanical systems from concept through production and flight test.
- Support integration, manufacturing, ground test, and flight operations, incorporating lessons learned into future designs.
- Continuously improve engineering workflows, design standards, and digital engineering capabilities as the team grows.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or Masters +8 yrs experience).
- Typically 10+ years of related experience (or Masters + 8 years of experience).
- Demonstrated expertise in Systems Engineering principles and practices, including a comprehensive understanding of the systems development lifecycle.
- Progressive experience across the system development lifecycle, including requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation.
- Progressive experience developing systems architecture and performing systems integration, verification, and validation (V&V) activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with technical and specialty subject matter expert engineers to drive systems engineering products.
- An Active Security Clearance is required
