We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a highly collaborative Infrastructure and Operations team. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys working across a broad enterprise environment and serving as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure challenges. You will play a key role supporting and improving a hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises systems and public cloud while partnering on modernization initiatives across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a senior technical resource and escalation point for complex infrastructure issues
- Design, implement, administer, and optimize enterprise Windows infrastructure
- Support and maintain Active Directory, Windows Server, VMware, and Exchange environments
- Participate in AWS cloud initiatives, hybrid cloud integrations, and ongoing infrastructure modernization
- Lead troubleshooting efforts during critical outages and performance issues
- Collaborate on infrastructure upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, patching, and vulnerability remediation
- Evaluate and implement new infrastructure technologies and best practices
- Develop technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures
- Partner with engineering teams to improve reliability, security, automation, and overall system performance
Requirements
- 7+ years of supporting enterprise infrastructure environments
- Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, and enterprise infrastructure administration
- Experience supporting AWS or Azure cloud environments within hybrid infrastructures
- Exchange Hybrid and/or Exchange Online experience
- Experience with PowerShell and/or Python for automation
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, and load balancing
- Experience with patch management, system monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex enterprise infrastructure issues
- Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor engineers and collaborate across technical teams
Nice to Have:
- Citrix (CVAD, StoreFront, NetScaler, PVS, etc.)
- F5, NetScaler, or other load balancer technologies
- SAN/NAS storage
- Backup and disaster recovery platforms
- Linux administration
- Healthcare or other highly regulated enterprise environments
