Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Fortinet Firewalls as the primary network perimeter and core security platform, covering threat protection, traffic inspection, and policy enforcement.
- Manage and optimize Forcepoint Forward Proxy as the secure web gateway, controlling internet access and enforcing acceptable use policies across all departments.
- Administer Fortinet SSL VPN and MFA to provide multi-factor authenticated, secure remote access for external users.
- Manage published services through Fortinet, ensuring secure external access to internal applications: Bio-Time, Suprema-Tech, ITSM, Endpoint Central, and Call Billing.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events, alerts, and incidents across all security platforms.
- Conduct regular firewall rule reviews, policy audits, and access control assessments to maintain a minimal attack surface.
- Manage VPN configurations for site-to-site and remote access scenarios over the Etisalat internet link.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements across all network-connected systems.
- Collaborate with the network team to enforce security controls at the switching and wireless layers.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, patch management coordination, and remediation tracking for network security devices.
- Maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, firewall rule sets, and incident reports.
- Manage ANT Labs guest Wi-Fi authentication to ensure guest network isolation and controlled access.
- Participate in security incident response, post-incident reviews, and improvement of detection and prevention controls.
- Stay current with emerging threats, CVEs, and vendor advisories for Fortinet and Forcepoint platforms.
- Liaise with vendors and ISP (Etisalat) for security-related escalations and coordination.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of experience in network security engineering with a focus on enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise in Fortinet product suite: FortiGate Firewalls, FortiClient VPN, FortiAuthenticator (MFA), and related technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Forcepoint Secure Web Gateway (Forward Proxy) for web filtering and threat protection.
- Strong understanding of network security concepts: IPS/IDS, DLP, SSL inspection, application control, and threat intelligence feeds.
- Proficiency in VPN technologies: IPSec, SSL VPN, split tunneling, and MFA integration.
- Experience with network segmentation, DMZ design, and zero-trust access principles.
