Our Client Currently looking for SQL Developer

Description :

– Write, rewrite, and optimize SQL code including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and complex queries as part of migrating from MS SQL Server to PostgreSQL.

– Handle the migration work that tools can’t do automatically, which involves manual SQL development and logic conversion.

– Transform and validate data during migration to make sure it moves correctly from the old system to the new one.

– Work with the team to understand existing database logic and rewrite it to work properly in PostgreSQL.

– Test the migrated SQL code thoroughly and fix any issues that come up during or after migration.

Skills & Experience :

– Strong hands-on SQL development experience writing and rewriting stored procedures, functions, and data transformation logic is a must.

– Good working knowledge of both MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL, especially the differences in SQL syntax and behaviour between the two.

– Experience with MS SQL to PostgreSQL migration projects is a must

– Ability to read and understand existing database code and convert it accurately to work in a new environment.

– Database administration knowledge is a bonus, but this role is primarily about SQL development.
