Our Client is seeking a Senior Data Engineer .
Roles and Responsibilities:
Focus on Domain Design and Architecture:
- Lay out data foundation and architecture, which then gets built out into specific technical requirements/components and passed to data Engineering team; There is some engineering component to pilot test things prior to recommending
- Experimenting with build it verses buy it decisions
- Look for heavy on the data modeling side; Just about everyone on the team has Engineering foundation and has moved into Modeling
Requirements
- For the senior folks, looking for 12+ years of experience; Strong tenure within financial organizations; Retail has also worked well
- AWS data engineering
- Python
- Pyspark
- SQL
- OOPs
Modeler:
- Data modeling and architecture skillset who is comfortable with engineering (foundation in data engineering)
- Engineering mindset and foundation who has moved into data modeling
- Communication skills and problem solving/communication skills
- Longer tenure with banking sector (Financial is first choice, Retail background)
- Knows how to run projects, knows how to run portfolios; Have a squad under them
