We are seeking a Director of Development Engineering to lead a multidisciplinary engineering organization focused on the development of advanced, high-precision systems for the semiconductor and broader high-tech industry.

What You Will Do 

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of ~25 engineers across systems, optics,
mechatronics, mechanical, software, and NPI.
• Define and evolve system architecture across the product portfolio, aligning with longterm technology and business strategy.
• Drive end-to-end product development from concept through to industrialization and manufacturing transfer.
• Ensure high-quality execution through effective management of internal teams and external partners.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to align on architecture, standards, and development practices.
• Support customer engagements alongside Product Management, Marketing, and Sales.
• Strengthen engineering culture, focusing on technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to local leadership and represent the company within the Eindhoven high tech ecosystem.

What We’re Looking For 

• Proven experience leading complex system development in high-tech environments (e.g. semiconductor equipment, lithography, metrology, inspection, advanced manufacturing).
• Strong background in system architecture and multidisciplinary engineering.
• Experience leading teams of 20+ engineers across hardware, software, mechanical, optics, and control.
• Track record of delivering products from concept to manufacturing.
• Hands-on leadership style with strong technical credibility.
• Experience working in global, matrix organizations.
